Item 2: Nature / Movement
Nature and movement are two of the most powerful tools I have when it comes to calming my nervous system and re-centering myself. Whether it's stepping outside for a quick breath of fresh air, stretching under the sun, or taking a slow walk through my garden, this combo grounds me like nothing else.
On days when I'm feeling restless, anxious, or foggy, moving my body feels like hitting reset. Though I love weightlifting- a full workout isn't always needed, sometimes just lying on the grass, putting my feet in the dirt, or moving freely while soaking in the sounds, air, and sun on my skin is more than enough.
It reminds me that I'm a part of something bigger. That I'm not stuck in my thoughts, and that I am worth more than my current productivity levels. Movement doesn't always mean productivity, sometimes it can simply be a tool to help us let go.
