Item 17: Intrusive Thought Repellent

When my brain decides to throw in a few disturbing or totally unhelpful thoughts out of nowhere, I reach for my imaginary "thought repellent." It's not a spray (though I would love that), but rather tools I turn to that help me shake the noise off.

Sometimes it's repeating affirmations, other times it's grounding myself through breathwork or journaling. It can even be saying “not today” out loud, or calling my best friend and saying everything outloud. Things that remind me that I am not my thoughts and I don't have an obligation to entertain them. Chau bad vibes.
